CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for operation of the CNC Lathe machines onGRAVE SHIFTin a production environment. Work with formal drawings, travelers, or verbal instructions. The activities include safe operation of CNC equipment, saws, grinders, sanders, fixtures, hand tools and material handling equipment. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned · Load and run parts on CNC Lathe machines · Change, tear down and setup tooling · Understand and follow POR · Apply inspection methods to measure parts and raise quality · Fill out Inspection first article and in process reports through SPC and MIT · Maintain production efficiency levels set by management · Keep machine tools in clean and working order · Complete traveler fully and accurately · Log in and perform daily safety checks. Report any machine problems to supervisor · Communicate, support, and reinforce the values of the organization professionally · Work in a team environment and be supportive of all company initiatives · Maintain a safe and organized work area Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: · Deburr, detail and finish parts per print Job Qualification Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: 3 years’ experience in the CNC machining industry Requirements: · Ability to multi-task · Ability to handle several tasks with frequent interruptions · Ability to work with minimal supervision Work Experience: Must have experience with general knowledge of the CNC machining industry Education: An AA in Machine Technology is desired Measurements on Performance: · Attendance · Ability to take direction · Ability to learn new skills · Ability to teach new skills · Quality of workmanship Lifting Requirements: ☒ Medium work - Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
