Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machines to produce precision components according to specifications. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our production efficiency and product quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to excellence in machining practices.
Duties
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to fabricate parts as per engineering drawings.
• Perform CNC programming, including the use of Fanuc controls, to ensure accurate machining processes.
• Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, including SolidWorks, for part design and programming.
• Interpret blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in the production process.
• Conduct precision measuring using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Maintain tooling and equipment in optimal condition through regular inspection and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members in assembly processes and support lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary during the machining process.
• Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in CNC programming and operation.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with plastics injection molding techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices is preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
• Basic math skills are essential for calculations related to machining tasks. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour
