CNC Machinist

We are seeking candidates for a CNC Machinist Programmer role. Hours are 6am-4:30pm Monday- Thursday and compensation for this direct hire opportunity is $75,000 annually. Interested? What a CNC Machinist will do: • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to machine custom and production components, including tools and fixtures • Accurately calculate dimensions and tolerances; perform layout and measurement of workpieces • Program, set up, and operate both manual and CNC machines for prototype and production runs • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production staff to improve machining methods and results • Inspect completed parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs to ensure adherence to specifications • Adjust tooling and machine settings as necessary to meet complex design requirements and tight tolerances • Document machining procedures, inspection results, and production metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives What you need to be a CNC Machinist: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Completion of a technical program or apprenticeship in CNC machining preferred • 5+ years of experience in both manual and CNC machining environments • Strong knowledge of machining practices, cutting tools, and working with various metals and plastics • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation. • CNC programming and knowledgeable in G-code • Experience with CAD/CAM software systems • High attention to detail with a commitment to producing precise, high-quality work • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills • #CareerChangeByDoherty • #SMNCareers Don’t miss out on this role… Apply now!Click APPLY NOW to complete our mobile-friendly, online application.
