Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes, with the ability to work with precision measuring instruments and various CNC machinery. This role is essential for producing high-quality components that meet strict specifications and tolerances.
Duties
• Operate CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture parts according to engineering specifications.
• Perform CNC programming, including the use of Fanuc controls, to optimize machining processes.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production of components.
• Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for precise measurements and quality control.
• Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality assurance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement CAM programming and tooling setups.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
• Assist in assembly operations as needed, utilizing hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Participate in training sessions for new techniques, including electrical discharge machining and plastics injection molding.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
• Proficiency in CAD software, SolidWorks, and CAM programming is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with welding techniques and basic math skills for precise calculations.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely within the manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues effectively.
• Knowledge of tooling requirements and setup procedures for various machining operations.
