CNC Machinist

Job Summary/Purpose:A CNC Machinist role is vital to the success of the Profit Center (PC) team, as our products flow through the warehouse. The CNC Machinist receives, cuts, routes, fabricates, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within establishments. Position Responsibilities: • Pre-requisite is experience programming with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls. • Reads and understands setup sheet, specifications and drawings to determine setup procedures, machining sequence and dimensions of finished work piece. • Attaches fixtures to machine and position and secures work piece in fixture according to setup instructions. • Selects and installs proper cutting tools. • Loads programs in machine control unit or enters commands to retrieve machine instructions from database. • Changes cutting tools and location of work piece during machining process as specified in instructions. • Measures and inspects first work piece for conformance to specifications and quality standards. Continues to monitor quality using AQL procedures and methods. • Adjusts machine feed and speed, and changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications when needed. • Knowledge of machine operation, quality inspection process and safety standards preferred.
