CNC Operator I

Essential Functions: · Operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining. · Must be capable of working with a variety of tools which may include hand tools, cutting tools, measuring tools and machine tools. · Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and set up requirements. · Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments. · Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications. · Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines · Attaches fixture to machine bed and positions and secures work piece in fixture according to setup instructions. · Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as necessary. · Must maintain standards of safety in the work environment including wearing any necessary PPE · Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: · Must be able to perform essential functions of job · Must be able to lift up to 70lbs · Ability to read and understand CNC program, blueprints and operational layouts as required · Basic knowledge of machining fundamentals and basic operating skills, shop arithmetic, and measuring procedures. · Previous experience required in a fabrication manufacturing environment · Mechanical ability, experience and knowledge of setting up CNC machines · Experience and ability with measuring tools, calipers, micrometers · Ability to read blueprints and engineering diagrams · Ability to stand for long hours in sometimes cramped conditions. · Strong mechanical aptitude · Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Preferred Requirements: · Mazak and Haas machine experience · Knowledge of 4 and 5 axis equipment; Master Cam software knowledge · Completion of a Machine Tool Technology degree program or a Technical School Certificate in Machining, or an equivalent number of years of machining experience is preferred Evening Shift 2:30pm-11pm Pay: $19.10/hr + shift diferential Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.10 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Referral program • Vision insurance Schedule: • 10 hour shift • 12 hour shift • 8 hour shift • Evening shift • Monday to Friday • Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
