CNC Operator / Steel Yard Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a CNC Operator/Steel Yard Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and possess a comprehensive understanding of its operation and troubleshooting. This role will also serve as a steel yard manager, keeping the steel yard organized, managing metal cut orders, and customer pick up. Responsibilities • Operate CNC machine to fulfill customer orders, projects, and shop needs. • Troubleshoot issues with machine and perform basic routine maintenance as needed. • Ability to maneuver materials to table using a electric pulley and or forklift. • Keep steel yard organized and clean. • Manage and facilitate metal cutting orders using various shop metal cutting tools. • Bundle completed orders together in pick up area for a quicker and smoother customer pickup process. • Quickly assist customers with loading orders at pickup. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. • Must be able to lift up to 75LBS. Skills • Proficiency in CNC machine operation and maintenance. • Oversee project material utilization, ensuring that required materials are utilized with the least amount of waste. • Ability to use various cutting tools. • Background fabrication and material handling. • Ability to perform basic math calculations for accurate measurements and adjustments. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour Work Location: In person
