CNC Set Up Machinist

Job Title: CNC Setup Machinist Department: Machining Reports To: Machining Lead THIS IS FULL-TIME SWING SHIFT 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM POSITION MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH HASS, MORI SEKI CNC MACHINES (do not apply if you do not have experience with these machines) ROLE: You will set up and run ourHass and/or Mori Seki CNC machines. Since we’re a job shop with more low-volume jobs instead of high-volume jobs, we focus on fast switchovers and getting parts made correctly the first time. As a ‘Setup Machinist’ you’ll spend a lot of your time getting the operators set up, with the remainder of your time running your own machines. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Setup and run machines. Most (but not all) of our machines are Hass: vertical, horizontal, and 5-axis • Interact with our ERP system correctly (punching in and out of jobs) • Inspect your own work with typical inspection tools used in machining • Provide and use your own hand tools • Produce good parts on time. You are responsible for the quality of every part you produce. • As with all that work at Inland, help your fellow departments when they get in trouble. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED: • Must have 3+ years machining experience • Must be capable of doing setups and will be asked to perform test during interview • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering level drawings w. GD&T • Must be able to properly use relevant inspection equipment such as micrometers and height gages. • Must know G codes and M codes • Knowledge of and adherence to machining safety standards ORGANIZATION’S VALUES AND CULTURE: We are a $40MM job shop/contract manufacturer established in 1964 that serves the ruthless and uncompromising high-tech Bay Area customers by providing everything they want when they want it.
