Description:

The Commercial Analyst will support commercial, controlling, and performance analysis activities related to our operations. In addition, this individual will have day-to-day interaction with our Commercial, Supply Chain, and Product Management Operations organization and our Corporate Controlling and Finance team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Utilize digital tools and dashboards to provide insights to the commercial organization regarding product and customer profitability, supply chain efficiency and highlight improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain and enhance Braskem’s Profitability Management Tool.
  • Support and develop presentations for the business revolving around commercial analysis.
  • Deliver PP market insights and trend analysis to the business monthly.
  • Participate in ACC PIPS and PTAI revenue benchmarking to compare Braskem against the industry.
  • Manage and implement special projects in the business that will enhance and improve reporting and analysis functions.
  • Coordinate with the corporate controlling team in Brazil to assist in providing data and analysis for key management presentations.
  • Utilize critical thinking, data analysis, and digital tools and dashboards to develop and monitor key commercial and operating metrics for the business.  
  • Support business team by providing commercial and profitability analysis and other reports/ analyses as needed.
  • Coordinate developments and improvements in Commercial’s Dashboard, Profitability Management Tool (PMT), and other presentations and communications.
  • Support the sales team with ad hoc presentations as necessary, present market scenarios and financial results at segment meetings to help develop strategy and track segment direction.
  • Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for commercial plans, pricing, and sales forecast.
  • Assist with annual planning and monthly forecast.
  • Develop financial models related to supply/demand by consolidating ACC, GTIS, and PIERS data and analyzing results.
  • Collect and submit PTAI Benchmarking revenue data and prepare and deliver a quarterly presentation to the senior management team with results and recommendations.
  • Actively participate in the design of the new ACC PIPS database.
  • Design and produce analyses/reports for senior management.
  • Provide deeper analysis as required for key sales segments, including imports, exports, and post-consumer recycled materials.

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience: 

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration, with three years of relevant experience, is required.
  • SAP experience is valued.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, and Access skills.
  • Experience with Finance and Forecasting models.
  • Must have good analysis skills, effective communication skills, the ability to interact well with others, and the ability to provide information to senior management in a concise format.
  • Ability to extract, organize, analyze, and report data in a useful and relevant manner for making business decisions using an ERP system.
