This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will be involved in various projects, assisting with installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems in both industrial and commercial settings. Duties • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. • Work with experienced electricians to learn about high voltage and low voltage systems. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to understand project requirements. • Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly. • Participate in construction site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. • Gain experience in frame carpentry as it relates to electrical installations. • Collaborate with team members on projects while developing skills in both industrial and commercial electrician applications. Experience • Previous experience as an industrial or commercial electrician is a plus but not required. • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) is beneficial. • Basic understanding of electrical principles and systems is preferred. • Experience working on construction sites is advantageous. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. • Willingness to learn about high voltage, low voltage, and other electrical systems through hands-on training.
