About the Job The Commercial HVAC Installer performs quality, on-site installation of commercial HVAC equipment as part of our construction teams. Responsibilities include: • Performing on-site installation of commercial HVAC equipment and completing preventative maintenance and routine repairs and as needed. • Inspecting, diagnosing and troubleshooting commercial systems and associated electrical issues (high and low voltage) to determine service requirements. • Performing other related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Physical agility (standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching) • Willingness and ability to work at heights (rooftops, scissor lifts, etc.), on ladders, and in tight spaces • Ability to safely lift up to seventy (70) pounds, on an on-going basis. • Ability to safely operate scissors/power lift • Ability and experience safely using hand and power tools • Dependable with a strong work ethic • EPA Universal Certification a plus Job Requirements The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: • High School diploma or GED equivalent • Preferred 2-4 years of experience installing commercial HVAC equipment (minimum of 1 year of work experience). Note: HVAC coursework/trade school hours is NOT considered qualifying work experience. • Proficient using the tools and techniques required to install, maintain and diagnose problems with HVAC equipment and associated electrical systems • Ability to braze and weld • Understanding of safe mechanical practices and local, state, and federal codes and regulations applicable to HVAC. • Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record • Authorization to work in the United States • Ability to pass a background check National Service & Controls, Inc. is proud to be a Drug-Free and Alcohol-Free Workplace.
