Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Commercial HVAC Service Manager to lead and elevate our service department. This role is ideal for a field-experienced technician ready to step into a leadership role—or a current service manager who still enjoys rolling up their sleeves and solving problems in the field. You'll serve as the first point of contact for both customers and technicians, relieving ownership from day-to-day service operations and helping the team run efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities • Lead daily operations of the service department across commercial and industrial accounts • Serve as the first layer of customer and technician support—escalating to ownership when necessary • Coordinate with dispatch, review service needs, and help prioritize field schedules • Conduct routine job site visits to support technicians, ensure quality, and manage scope • Provide field support, including quoting, troubleshooting, and hands-on repairs as needed • Coach and mentor HVAC technicians to improve diagnostic and problem-solving skills • Track job progress, document work status, and communicate next steps to customers and leadership • Assist in managing preventive maintenance contracts and long-term service agreements Requirements Minimum 15 years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience (residential not included) Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a service environment Strong working knowledge of: • Chillers • Boilers • Packaged rooftop units >25 tons • VAV systems • Pneumatics (a plus) Clear, confident communicator with both internal teams and external clients Detail-oriented in tracking work orders, service status, and follow-ups Comfortable with both field and office work; must be willing to work onsite when needed Clean driving record Ideally located near Edison Park or the surrounding neighborhoods Must be trustworthy with company vehicle and equipment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Experience: • Commercial HVAC: 7 years (Required) License/Certification: • Universal EPA card (Required) Work Location: On the road
