Commercial Plumbing Estimator / Plumber

Job Overview This position's primary function is to ensure high customer satisfaction by instilling HCB Mechanical's company vision, mission and core values. Required to Bid on jobs and estimate the parts/labor, etc for each job. The Project Manager must communicate and coordinate with the President/Master Plumber and employees. This candidate must also have a Journeyman Plumbers License. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards on construction sites. The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and/or maintaining plumbing systems. Duties • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with local codes and regulations. • Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and recommend solutions. • Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure plumbing work aligns with project specifications. • Utilize project management skills to oversee plumbing tasks from initiation through completion. • Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers as necessary, ensuring favorable terms for the company. • Prepare construction estimates for accurate pricing of projects. • Maintain clear communication with project managers regarding timelines, materials needed, and any potential challenges. • Ensure all work is performed safely, adhering to industry standards and regulations. • Pull Permits on Jobs from the different Cities. Call in Inspections as needed as work is completed. Skills • Proficient in construction site operations with a strong understanding of plumbing systems. • Excellent project management skills to effectively coordinate tasks and timelines. • Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing effectively with clients and vendors. • Experience in construction estimating. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues. • Knowledge of construction management principles to ensure efficient workflow on projects. • Attention to detail in both installation practices and compliance with safety standards. • Able to install, repair and maintaining plumbing systems.
