As we expand into the commercial pest control space, we’re seeking a high-performing Commercial Sales Manager to lead and grow our B2B sales team in Phoenix. This hands-on leadership role will focus on building a motivated sales team, driving new business, and establishing strong client relationships that fuel the growth of our Commercial Division.

Mission of the Role
The Sales / Business Development Manager (BDM) is accountable for building and leading Moxie’s commercial sales team to acquire new B2B accounts and drive contract revenue growth. This leader will recruit, train, and manage 5–7 Business Development Representatives, set activity and conversion standards, and directly secure strategic accounts. The BDM will establish the sales culture, systems, and performance expectations that make the Commercial Division a profitable growth engine within Moxie.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership & Team Development
• Recruit, train, and manage an initial team of 5–7 Business Development Representatives.
• Build a performance-driven sales culture with clear expectations around prospecting, pipeline management, and closing.
• Provide ongoing coaching and sales training.
• Create accountability systems to ensure consistent activity and results.
Business Development & Account Acquisition
• Prospect, identify, and secure new commercial accounts in priority verticals (e.g., multi-family, food service, property management, healthcare, etc.).
• Personally handle strategic/large accounts to establish credibility and drive early revenue.
• Develop outreach campaigns, networking strategies, and referral partnerships.
• Build long-term client relationships and negotiate multi-year contracts.
Sales Systems & Reporting
• Establish the sales process, CRM usage, and reporting cadence for the Commercial Division.
• Define KPIs for the sales team, including activity levels, conversion rates, and average contract value.
• Monitor results and adjust strategies to meet growth targets.
Collaboration & Growth Support
• Partner with marketing to refine targeting and lead generation strategies.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure smooth onboarding of new accounts.
• Provide feedback to leadership on pricing, service design, and competitive intelligence.
Experience & Qualifications
• Proven success in B2B sales leadership, preferably in pest control, facilities services, or other recurring-contract industries.
• Experience recruiting, training, and scaling outbound sales teams.
• Strong track record in prospecting, pipeline management, and closing large accounts.
• Ability to design and implement sales processes and reporting systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial drive with discipline to meet aggressive growth targets.
Compensation
The Sales / Business Development Manager will be compensated with a blend of base salary and performance-based commissions. The plan is designed as a hunter model, rewarding new annualized contract revenue booked each year. Commissions are paid quarterly based on new revenue booked during that period.
• Base Salary:$110,000
• Commission:4% of all new annualized contract revenue booked, paid quarterly
• Accelerator:5% commission on revenue above target
• Total Earnings:Approximately $150,000 in Year 1, growing to about $175,000 each year thereafter.
