Commercial Service Electrician

PorterMatt Electric Inc. is an established electrical contracting company specializing in thecommercial industry, servicing distribution centers, retail spaces, grocery markets, and office buildings throughout the LA, OC, and IE area. OurService Divisionprovides fast, reliable support for emergency response calls and small project installations. We are looking for highly skilledCommercial Service Electricianswith at leastsevenyears of experienceto join our team. Responsibilities: • Respond to both scheduled and emergency service calls for customers. • Complete small commercial installs of electrical systems per customer and NEC requirements. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, including lighting, control systems, branch circuits, equipment, general power, and electrical distribution equipment. • Coordinate connections of back-up diesel generators to commercial switch gear for temporary power loss and scheduled shutdowns. • Able to work day shifts as well as occasional overnight shfts. • Work overtime, occasional scheduled weekends, and respond to emergency calls outside of regularly scheduled shift hours. • Maintain accurate work order and photo documentation of work (before and after). • Provide professional communication and updates through daily email, electronic paperwork, and app-based program correspondence with management. • Maintain strong client relationships by presenting a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Preferred but Not Required Skills: • Terminate and troubleshoot Cat 5e & Cat 6 data connections. • Troubleshoot and terminate Refrigeration power, controls, and low voltage. Requirements: • Minimum of7 years of commercial electrical experience, including experience as a Service Electrician. • Clean DMV driving record and valid driver’s license. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Supervision of 1-2 apprentice electricians.
