CSE Electric is seeking an experienced Service Lead Technician/Journeyman Electrician. The Service Team is a customer-service focused group with a white glove approach. Each job is highly specific of the business that’s running at the location we go to, so we're looking for someone who can balance not knowing where they could be working tomorrow (what site) and putting all that aside to show up to a clients business with a smile on their face, listen to their concerns, and then get to work on the reason why they are there.
The base of operations will be at the Austin office located at 8501 Springdale Rd. You will be servicing mostly commercial clients, completing short-term jobs, and some out of town work. Some one-day jobs, some multi-day jobs.
• Experience in Commercial and Industrial Electrical Work
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference materials.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Install wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, following current NEC and local code
• Install control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels for machine
• Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints
• Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments
• Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
• Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials
• Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures
• Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor
• Communicate with employees, management, vendors in a professional manner.
• Ability to operate scissor lifts, trenchers, skidster and/or a mini excavator
• Supervision of project and up to 3 people on the project
• Have a valid Journeyman or Master License issued by TDLR
• The Supervisor or his/her designee may assign other duties and accountabilities limited to those consistent with the applicable job function and pay grade.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must pass background check and drug test
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work from all types of ladders and perform work at various heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or other areas.
