Job Description – Commissary Kitchen Operations Supervisor Position Title:Commissary Kitchen Operations Supervisor Location:Houston, TX Schedule:Full-Time, Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional adjustments as needed) Summary: We’re seeking an experienced, organized, and hands-on leader to oversee daily operations at our commissary kitchen, which supplies multiple restaurant locations. The Operations Supervisor will ensure smooth production, enforce strict quality and safety standards, and maintain excellent communication between the commissary and the restaurants. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise all commissary staff and daily kitchen operations • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and fair distribution of hours • Oversee production timelines and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time • Develop, implement, and monitor cleaning and sanitation procedures for all areas of the commissary • Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health compliance standards at all times • Coordinate with restaurant managers to forecast product needs and adjust production accordingly • Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve problems quickly to prevent production delays • Maintain accurate records for production, waste, and labor hours • Support inventory management and communicate with procurement on supply needs • Train and mentor staff to improve performance, consistency, and efficiency Qualifications: • 3+ years in food service or kitchen operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food safety standards • Must speak fluent Spanish(written and verbal) • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities • Basic computer skills (Excel, scheduling software, email) • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Compensation: • $18–$22/hourplus overtimeDOE Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week Experience: • Food service: 3 years (Preferred) • Kitchen management: 2 years (Preferred) Language: • Spanish (Required) Work Location: In person
