Compositing Supervisor - Special Project

Titmouse is looking for an experienced Compositing Supervisor familiar with Blender to AE workflows. We are looking for a comp supervisor who will help bring a unique, action driven, textural comic illustration style to life. The supervisor must be able to work with heavy compositions with 2D and 3D elements and have experience working with complex camera moves.

Weekly Salary Range (USD): $1850 - $2200, commensurate with experience and skill level

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous supervising or leadership experience on professional animated content (commercials, games, TV, feature)
• Must know After Effects inside and out
• Must have strong Blender experience and familiarity with how to export renders and cameras
• Previous experience working with textured styles, organic brush work, painted 2.5D looks
• Previous experience compositing action heavy projects with constantly moving cameras
• Ability to animate camera movements and graphic elements within AE/Blender
• Ability to create simulated particle FX in AE
• Strong color editing and lighting sensibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with the various creative leads to develop the final composited look of the project.
• Maintain quality control and style consistency for all shots composited.
• Lead a team of compositors and maintain team morale.
• Communicate clearly with artists and delegate tasks accordingly.
• Find solutions to issues that arise during production.
• Prioritize tasks and client notes based on schedule and budget.
• Be transparent with the studio regarding pertinent issues and concerns with the crew and show leadership.
• When appropriate, manage and mentor the artists, creating environments where all team members are treated fairly and respectfully, are valued for their talent and perspective, and are given the opportunity to do work that is purposeful and impactful.
