Role Description:

The NXT Digital Innovation team provides a competitive advantage to our creation teams by fueling product innovation and craft. To accomplish this, we use the power of advanced technologies, skills and services! As our Computational Engineering Intern, you'll work with the footwear computational design teams to computationally engineer and evaluate products and streamline the product design, development and manufacturing workflow. You will have a strong engineering portfolio, expertise in 3D product design and computational design software, and experience in footwear product design is a benefit. You'll maximise your expertise of engineering tools to help craft phenomenal product. You will have an understanding of computational design standard methodologies. In your portfolio of work, you have clear examples of how you've worked on products with complex engineering requirements. You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and participate in the creation of best-in-class product. The key for success in this role will be the desire and passion to apply computational engineering hands-on for product design projects.

Our teams work cooperatively on initiatives and you'll be exposed to the multi-functional Nike matrix (Design, Product Development, Categories). You will be asked to collaboratively develop plans for project work!

Requirements

• Pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• Graduation date of Winter 2023 or Spring 2024
• Several examples of successfully launched products or product concepts (for school projects) that demonstrate complex product engineering solutions

• Experience using 3D design and engineering software, such as Rhino, Hyperworks or Abaqus
• Ability to develop simple and elegant solutions to complex engineering problems
• Ability to collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team; communicate and influence throughout organizations
• Can work with grace under pressure
