IBM is currently recruiting for Data Center Specialists to join the Cloud team.
Essential Duties:
• Rack build cable configure and provision Intel and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) servers.
• Rack cable and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment.
• Troubleshoot test quality assurance of server hardware.
• Professionally resolve hardware issues via trouble ticket.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Proficiency in assembling and configuring computer hardware components including CPUs RAM storage drives and motherboards demonstrating knowledge of server-specific components like RAID controllers and redundant power supplies.
• Familiarity with installing and configuring server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux distributions including basic server administration tasks like user management file system configuration and security settings.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP DHCP DNS VLANs and network troubleshooting skills along with the ability to perform basic configurations on networking equipment such as switches and routers.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Network+
• Operating System Installation – Windows Server Linux Unix
• Cabling knowledge beyond dressing or running cabling such as confidently comprehending port mappings and ability to know the differences and purposes behind each cable type
• Understanding of basic hardware troubleshooting and applying logical methods of resolution
• Rack cable and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment a plus
• Experience with RAID levels is a plus
• Web Server and Database installation experience a plus
• Must be able to work in this country without Sponsorship
• Must be willing to learn quickly multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
