About Us: Yorkville Repairs & Contracting LLC is a high-end residential renovation company based in NYC. We specialize in upscale brownstone and townhouse restorations, and we are known for our commitment to precision, durability, and craftsmanship. We are currently seeking an experienced Concrete Carpenter / Finisher with advanced knowledge in repairing and forming concrete stairs, as well as all other facets of concrete work. --- Position Overview: We are hiring a skilled Concrete Carpenter / Finisher who can work independently and handle complex concrete stair repair and forming tasks from start to finish. This position is best suited for a highly experienced professional who takes pride in delivering durable, clean, and structurally sound work in high-end residential environments. --- Key Responsibilities: Expertly repair and rebuild concrete staircases, including crack repair, resurfacing, forming, and structural remediation Form and pour new concrete stairs and landings as needed Perform all aspects of concrete work including demo, forming, rebar installation, pouring, vibrating, screeding, finishing, curing, and patching Ensure work meets NYC building codes, safety standards, and company finish-level expectations Use grinders, bonding agents, resurfacing compounds, and trowel finishes to restore worn or damaged concrete Read and follow construction plans, elevation drawings, and on-site directives Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe throughout the duration of the work Collaborate with supervisors, other trades, and project managers as needed --- Minimum Requirements: At least 6 years of hands-on concrete experience, including stair repair (no exceptions) Extensive knowledge and real-world experience repairing and restoring concrete stairs Must own all necessary concrete tools (grinders, floats, trowels, forming tools, levels, etc.) Strong understanding of forming techniques, rebar placement, and proper mix/design methods Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain clean workmanship Ability to lift heavy materials and work in outdoor environments when necessary --- Preferred Qualifications: OSHA 30 Certification Experience working in NYC brownstones, sidewalks, and landmark properties Ability to handle decorative or stamped concrete finishes (optional but a plus) Experience working in occupied residential properties with care and professionalism --- What We Offer: Consistent work with a respected, organized renovation company On-time payment and respectful job site conditions Opportunity to work on high-profile residential projects Supportive team and clear communication from project management --- To Apply: Send your name, contact information, a brief summary of your experience, and photos of concrete stair repairs or other concrete work you've completed.
