Concrete Finisher

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, including finishing techniques and the ability to read blueprints. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for ensuring that concrete surfaces are smooth, level, and properly cured. What's in it for you? • $25-30/hr • Vehicle & Gas Card • Company Shares Scheme • 100% Medical Benefits for you AND your family • PTO/Vacation • Progression to Foreman Duties • Prepare and set up forms for pouring concrete. • Mix concrete using a concrete mixer and ensure the correct consistency. • Pour, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and power tools. • Finish surfaces using various techniques such as troweling, smoothing, and edging. • Install rebar and other reinforcements as needed. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute project specifications. • Perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment when necessary. • Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure project timelines are met. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the construction site. Skills • Proficient in concrete finishing techniques and practices. • Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction processes. • Experience with construction estimating and project planning. • Familiarity with rebar installation, hardscape work, and concrete forming. • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively. • Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and procedures. • Experience in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. • Skills in plastering, renovation, carpentry, roofing, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and concrete pumping are highly desirable. • Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by job duties.
