Job Description

Botello Builders Corporation is currently looking to hire a Concrete Project Manager. We are a commercial concrete subcontractor company providing services to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. Botello Builders provides concrete material, placement, and finishing for our diverse portfolio of clients. We understand the dynamic forces that drive project success and the importance of managing scope, cost, schedule, and quality. Having this in mind our commitment is to provide our clients with a Great Customer Experience during the bid phase, throughout the entire project construction, and after the project has been completed. This position will work closely with professionals in other areas of the construction process, including clients, design teams, and vendors to kickoff, coordinate, monitor the progress of construction, solve issues, submit billings, track different productivity metrics, attend meetings, among other important duties that encompass an overall Great Customer Experience. Primary Responsibilities: • Perform detailed review of construction plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation throughout the construction phase for Tilt Wall and Flatwork projects. • Obtaining material and equipment quotes from suppliers. • Extensive communication with general superintendents and project mangers throughout construction phases on numerous projects. • Communication with different personnel within the organization including but not limited to, project managers, estimators, field supervisors, field foremen, dispatchers, etc. • Communication to include a wide array of topics in four main areas: Scheduling and Coordination of projects, Technical Communication, Problem Solving, and Customer Service. • Documentation of important aspects of daily activities or conversations with customers or vendors. • Requesting submittals from vendors and submitting them to clients for approval. • Preparing change orders and submitting them to clients. • Submitting project billings to clients in a monthly basis. • Monitoring project costs to make sure materials, labor, and equipment are being used efficiently and within budget. • Consulting with clients, vendors, internal team members, or other individuals to proactively discuss and resolve issues. • Assisting with the development and coordination of material and equipment schedules and promoting their efficient use. • Minor project estimation using takeoff software and MS Office products. • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients. • Attend jobsite meetings when necessary. Communication Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to communicate well with all levels of workers involved with the project. • Demonstrate strong relationships and teamwork. • Negotiating skills. • Escalate issues (schedule, budget, constructability, etc.) in a timely and effective manner. Skills and Qualifications: • Detail-oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information and be able to stay focused. • Strong prioritization skills. • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business and construction documents, drawings, and technical procedures. • Knowledge and understanding of Tilt Wall construction. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to work under pressure when necessary. • Take ownership of multiple/diverse project responsibilities simultaneously. • Knowledge and understanding of the preconstruction processes. • Knowledge and understanding of the bid process. • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs such as Word and Excel. • 3 to 4 years of experience in this or a similar role. • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred but not a must.
