Role Overview AtAll Things Metal, we don’t just build steel — we build people. As aGeneral Laborer, you’ll be an essential part of the team that keeps our fabrication shop running smoothly. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to learn the ropes of the steel industry, develop hands-on skills, and grow within a company that promotes from within. If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and want a long-term career path that could lead into fabrication, welding, or fieldwork — this is your starting point. Key Responsibilities • Prep, clean, and scrape metal for fabricating, welding, or shipping • Operate power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders • Read and interpret tape measurements accurately to 1/16" for cutting and drilling • Assist with material movement — lifting, loading, stacking, and organizing steel and scrap • Maintain a clean and safe work area, keeping tools and equipment in proper condition • Support the fabrication team with various shop duties as needed • Serve as backup for painting and finishing workwhen required Qualifications • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (includes marijuana) • Comfortable working outdoors and in high temperatures • Able to stand for long periods and lift over 50 lbs • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance • Ability to read a tape measure (crucial for this position) • Basic computer literacy and ability to read part prints a plus • Painting or finishing experience preferred but not required Skills & Abilities • Strong attention to detail and quality of work • Eager to learn new skills and grow with the company • Positive, can-do attitude with good communication habits • Dependable team player who also works well independently • Safety-conscious and mindful of surroundings Schedule Monday - Friday 5 am - 3 pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch Occasional half days on Friday (depending on need and department) Compensation & Benefits • $18 an hour • Steady, long-term work in a supportive environment • First-time homebuyer program with $500 bonus and optional realtor/mortgage support • Dave Ramsey SmartDollar financial education resources • Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and sick time • 401(k) with company match and profit-sharing contributions • Family-friendly events and team-building activities • Birthday and work anniversary recognition • Cash bonuses for production roles and internal growth opportunities AQMemYSA0I
