COMPENSATION
Annual Salary [$55,000 - $65,000]

STANDARD OFFICE HOURS
Monday - Friday 6:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday (every other) 6:00am - 2:00pm
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review all Online Planrooms & Invitations to Bid, Filter and Select bids of interest along with Chief Estimator.
Complete Pre-Bid Checklist.
Create a Digital Bid File with all Documents Organized.
Review Plans & Specifications Divisions 1, 6, & 12, as well as any other divisions we have been requested to bid, and select pertinent documents for Printing.
Locate all relevant Scope of Work, Highlight, Separate, and Complete Takeoff for Standard Cabinets, Millwork Specialty Items, Alternate scopes, Value Engineering Options, and Optional Adds.
Submit RFIs to Architect and/or GC’s for all items that lack Clarity or have Discrepancies.
Request & Gather all required Vendor Quotes prior to Bid Date.
Prepare Excel document for Takeoffs and Word Document for Bids, with detailed Scope Inclusions & Exclusions.
Maintain knowledge of all In-House Production & Outsourced Scopes.
Submit Bids to General Contractors on Bid Date.
Schedule Bid Follow ups to determine Bid Award status.
Document all Bid Outcomes on tracking spreadsheets, determine causes of all non-awards, and come up with Strategic Shifts required to improve Award Ratio.
Negotiate Contract Scopes & Amounts with General Contractors, Vendors, and Subcontractors.
Help generate New Business by establishing new Bidding Relationships, and continuously improving Existing Relationships, with General Contractors, Architects, Designers, & Vendors.
Review Project Scope and Budget with Project Management Team & Drafting Dept prior to start of Shop Drawings.
Engage in Continuous Education, Industry Guidelines, Materials, News and Development.
KEY SKILLS
Experience in Construction Estimating & Bidding [ in Architectural Casework & Millwork preferred ]
Experience in the manufacturing of Casework & Millwork within primary area of Educational & Institutional Facilities
Experience preparing Proposals for projects of varied scopes
Ability to work under Deadlines, and adapt to rapidly changing conditions, with a Strong Sense of Urgency
Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Outlook
Strong Attention to Detail, Accuracy, and Quality is mandatory
Ability to independently exercise business judgment as to important tasks, while always considering the customers’ and company’s best interests.
Strong problem solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, influencing, negotiating, and assertiveness.
Decision making, sound business judgment.
Ability to prioritize tasks among and between projects and communicate those priorities.
