Construction - Labor Compliance Monitor

Our company oversees all aspects of multifamily residential development, an expert in construction, development, and design and specializes in new construction and moderate rehabilitation of affordable apartment buildings nationally. JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking numerousLabor Compliance Field Monitorsto join our construction team on our Affordable Housing construction projects in East Harlem and Canarsie, NY. Training will be provided. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: • Observe, monitor, investigate, and report on the work performed by subcontractors in accordance with Prevailing Wage compliance manual procedures. • Review subcontractor’s Daily Logs to verify manpower and activity reported. • Review project badge applications and grant access to site for the workers by issuing Badge IDs. • Prepare and present Field Reports to indicate noncompliance on a daily basis. Follow-up with any noncompliance to resolve issues. • Performs related duties as assigned. EDUCATION / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • High School diploma or higher • Basic Construction Industry experience • Administrative experience related to construction industry. KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS: • General office skills. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Good investigation skills. • Good initiative and good judgment under pressure. • Good team player. • Must be comfortable working on construction site. CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED: • OSHA 30 • NYC DOB 8 Hour Fall Prevention • NYC DOB 2 Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Be able to move around construction site to observe compliance.
