You’re an aspiring apprentice carpenter. You’ve got some experience in construction - or maybe not. You’re a hard worker and you want to better yourself by learning the trade. The Role: A successful Acton ADU Construction Laborer works closely with Acton ADU Job Lead and Carpenters to provide whatever labor help is needed to build quality structures, make customers happy, and keep job sites clean. Skill requirements: • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 100 pounds. • Driver’s license and good driving record. Responsibilities: • Labor:You are responsible for performing any labor and errands required by the Job Lead or carpenters, including: trenching, digging, grading, demolition, cleanup, loading and unloading of materials, and errands with company trucks. • JOBSITE MAINTENANCE:Maintain a clean, safe work site at all times. Assure that the jobsite is safe and secure for homeowners and the public at the end of each day. Protect the client’s property from dirt and damage according to company standards. • SCHEDULING:Know where and when you will be working prior to the start of each day and be prepared for that task and conditions. • “Paper” Work:You are required to fill out your electronic time card before leaving the job site each day, and to be prepared for whatever task you’ll be performing next day. About Acton ADU: Stan Acton has been a builder since he was 10 years old. It began the day he broke his father’s wooden mallet. The mallet had been crafted by Stan’s father when he was a kid, on his own father’s Shopsmith lathe. Stan was devastated and rushed to grab a piece of firewood.
