Construction Project Manager

Construction Project Manager Join our growing Development Team as a Construction Project Manager with a focus on project controls and AutoCAD. This role is designed for someone early in their career who’s eager to deepen their impact and expand their project ownership. You’ll support documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, and vendor coordination across multiple franchise store build-outs, refreshes, and renewals. While our Field Construction Manager handles on-site execution, you’ll take the lead on timelines, technical drawings, and internal coordination, ensuring each project stays on track from lease signing through store opening. Responsibilities include: · Manage the end-to-end construction process from architectural plans through permitting, bidding, and project closeout; ensure contractors, vendors, and timelines are aligned across all phases. · Coordinate cross-functionally with internal departments (Director of Project Management, Training, Ops) and external partners (Franchisees, contractors, architects, vendors) to ensure alignment on construction timelines and requirements. · Manage bid process with contractors and vendors; evaluate proposals to ensure scope, timeline, and cost expectations are met. · Ensure all records such as construction costs, equipment costs, permits, inspection reports, warranties, and final photos are submitted, properly filed. · Use AutoCad or similar drafting software to assist with initial store layouts. · Maintain project schedules within store construction projects, monitor milestones, and flag deviations proactively. · Help standardize processes, templates, and trackers across all projects. What You’ll Need: • 3-5 years in construction project management, ideally in retail or franchise buildouts. • Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar drafting software) and experience interpreting technical plans. • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills. • Comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently with attention to detail. • Worked with tools like Procore, Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, or similar platforms. • Experience with cost tracking, earned value management, and scheduling tools.
