Overview: Construction Project Manager – Tucson, AZ At NV5, we fully understand the United States aging electrical grid faces significant challenges in meeting the increasing demand for power delivery. Leveraging proprietary design methodologies and state-of-the-art modeling software, we tackle complex site-specific obstacles head-on, reducing construction timelines and costs associated with electrical distribution and transmission improvements. We have an opportunity for a talented & ambitious construction management professional with Overhead (OH) Electrical Transmission Line experience to join us as our newConstruction Project Manager. You will be involved in the construction of an approximately 280-mile, double-circuit, high-voltage transmission line and associated substation facilities, aimed at connecting the electrical transmission systems of the El Paso and Tucson areas. In this role, you will support the owner's needs for construction management, administration, safety and environmental monitoring, quality assurance, and additional relevant services such as right-of-way (ROW) surveying, project scheduling, and construction quality management. ***This is a full-time position that requires this role to be based in Tucson, AZ. Per diem included. Housing included for candidates that are not local.***Responsibilities: Other responsibilities include: β€’ Lead a project team and deliver projects on time and on budget. β€’ Lead onsite oversight of the EPC contractor, including schedule adherence, budget monitoring, issue resolution, and coordination with the owner. β€’ Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day construction activities, attend meetings, and ensure compliance with project requirements. β€’ Engage with clients as the primary contact for the NV5 project team.Qualifications: We are seeking the following experience/qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related field. β€’ 10+ years of experience in transmission line construction management; familiarity with high-voltage projects. β€’ Project Management Certification (PMP) is a plus.
