Consulting Architect, Security

Joining Elastic as a Consulting Architect, Security means diving into a collaborative environment where you'll work alongside our dedicated services, engineering, and sales teams, adopting a multitude of roles. In this pivotal position, you'll immediately impact the success of Elastic and our valued customers.

Your responsibilities will range from delivering Elastic solutions and expertise to driving customer business value, to facilitating workshops on strategy and roadmap planning in critically important environments. Advocating for our customers, building positive relationships, and fostering effective communication will be at the forefront of your efforts. Comfortably navigating remote work within our highly distributed team, you'll develop demos and proof-of-concepts that showcase the ground-breaking power of the Elastic Stack.

Your adaptability and skills will drive the acceleration of Elastic solutions, focusing on fast search and analytics at scale. Steering objectives, gathering requirements, and leading timelines will ensure successful engagements while closely collaborating with our engineering, product management, and support teams. Your insights will craft feature improvements and address product feedback, facilitating a continuous feedback loop. Engaging with our sales organization, you'll scope opportunities and assess technical risks, ensuring alignment and success across the board. What You Bring Along:

• Experience: 5 years' experience in roles such as Technology Consultant, Software Engineer, System Administrator, or DevOps Engineer. Additionally, you have 3 years' experience as a Security Engineer or Security Architect, with hands-on expertise in various security aspects.
  
• Security Expertise: Strong understanding and experience with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, MITRE Att&ck, and PCI-DSS. Your experience extends to security protocols like SSL/TLS and IPSec, as well as integration and implementation of UEBA.
  
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related engineering subject area, or possess an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  
• Consulting Skills: Experience working as a consultant, delivering professional services engagements, has honed your ability to efficiently communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience and understanding of Elasticsearch and/or Lucene, as well as proficiency in at least one programming language. Your knowledge extends to large distributed systems and application infrastructure.
  
• Passion for Open-Source: Your passion for open-source technology is evident, and you show strength in at least one programming language. You actively chip in to open-source projects or documentation.
  
• Continuous Learning: A desire to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the constantly evolving field of security architecture.
  
• Diverse Skills: Your expertise isn't limited to security; you have a strong understanding and/or certification in technologies like Kubernetes, Linux, Java, databases, Docker, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kafka, Redis, VMs, Terraform & Ansible, and Lucene.
  
• Travel Flexibility: Occasional travel of approximately 20%, understanding that it may be required to meet business needs and engage with clients effectively.
