We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dynamic individual to join our company as the Consumer Insight Analyst on our LGE US Home Appliance R&D team. This role is on-site in our Buffalo Grove, IL office.

Job Summary:

As a Consumer Insight Analyst, you will support all the activities of the CESL team, New Product Development and Innovation in the LGE North American business units through market/consumer research.

What You'll Do:

  • Supports activities conducted by CESL & Consumer Insight
  • Gather and analyze primary and secondary data through research
  • Generate consumer-centric reporting to excavate insights
  • Track competitor movement in the Home Appliance industry and new product/feature through published information
  • Report on the impact of competitor products and features through VOC research or other appropriate methodologies
  • Use subscription and internet resources to prepare reports on trends in the Home and Home Appliance related industries
  • Be able to identify appropriate research methodologies for specific research needs
  • Create valid research tools with minimal changes
  • Promotes the "voice of the consumer" throughout the organization towards product innovation
  • Collaborate with other LGE team members to support research efforts on behalf of NPI features and usability
  • Supports ethnographic projects for product segmentation to better understand US consumers preferences and behaviors
  • Work with the R&D team to itemize important Home Appliances consumer pain points
  • Supporting the video creation, and video scripting
  • Cultivate VOC insights derived from consumer online reviews, mass medium and social media sites

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Familiar with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Experience with subscription resource data collection / Knowledge with Survey Monkey, SPSS and/or Minitab a plus
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook)
  • Some travel may be required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in the home appliance industry is a pus
