Job Description
Job Summary:
Welch Equipment's marketing content creator and social media creator is responsible for creating all marketing materials for every department within Welch. As well as, updating these materials as needed from the years with new branding, logos, printing, and more. You will also be responsible for creating content, posting, replying, and interacting on all our social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and any other industry leading social platforms we see fit.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities as a Content Creator and Social Media Creator:
- Design and create content for all social media content including responding, posting, interacting, educating employees, and showcasing what our Company can achieve for our customers. We have many departments, and this will require multiple posts for each department on a weekly basis
- Help drive traffic to our website via social media posts for all departments that Welch has while also reposting what our manufacturers post and share insights for our customers to see and learn on
- Identify and implement advertising opportunities to advertise brand through digital or print platforms while following Welch branding guidelines
- Assist in any photography, video, and digital media needs for the company through production all the way to publishing
- Assist in posting and updating the company website as required for new models and manufacturer updates
- Publish internal content created on a platform like OneDrive for saving and ease of access to all sales teams
- Prepare well-structured drafts using digital word processing and publishing platforms
- Update and create a content calendar for social media within our CRM
- Manage and post on our blog, news articles, and sales portal
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in any planning and hosting of Welch events like employee appreciation manufacturer spotlights, hosting of manufacturers to our sites, and more
- Assist in the marketing team duties as any other tasks come around that need assistance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field OR work experience in the field
- Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of social media KPI's, traffic metrics and SEO
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Ability to develop and implement a corporate social media strategy
- Familiar with editing and posting on Wordpress
- Ability to stay on trend with our industry content and social media habits of customers
- Work well with a team between projects and tasks
- Ability toworkindependently and self-start tasks
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and judgment to resolve routine problems relating to assigned projects.
- Good organizationalskills, andhigh-level ofself-structureproducing accurate workwitha strong attention to detail
- Good written andverbalcommunication skills
- Ability to use social media for impressions and brand awareness
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the creator is regularly required to work in a fast-paced working environment with a highvolumeof information flow and frequent internal changes and requests that must be met and created with quick accurate results. This is a self-regulating position that requires you to have the ability to manage your own projects while reporting to a manager on updates. You must be able to work quickly and independently.
Compensation:
- Hourly Pay Rate based on experience
