As a Content Marketing Specialist, youâll be responsible for writing copy that resonates with our prospective customers and the industry as a whole, helping us to achieve our Engagement Banking mission. And more than that, youâll also help us determine the best ways to activate, promote, and distribute this content in a way that moves readers through the buyerâs journey, giving them the insights they need to make the best decision for their bank.
What youâll do
Youâll join our fast-paced, diverse, highly skilled global GTM team as a well-rounded content writer, strategist, and overall marketeer. Your chief responsibilities will include writing about our solutions, targeting different banking lines of business â retail banking, wealth, and business banking â as well as the platform and capabilities that help to power them. That includes (but isnât limited to) blogs, customer stories, social media posts, emails, handouts, brochures, website copy, and even guides. Your ultimate goal? To create content that engages, inspires, and educates readers, converting them into actionable leads â and hopefully brand loyalists.
As you might expect, this means youâll need a solid understanding of tech, preferably banking tech/fintech, as well as the ability to translate messaging into understandable, inspiring content that will capture the attention of senior banking leaders, across the globe. That may be a tall order, but itâs also an opportunity to constantly learn, improve, and innovate.
Youâll frequently collaborate outside of our team with other hard-working professionals from marketing and beyond, including field marketers, digital marketers, product experts, salespeople, and more as we collaborate to create the best possible content for our target personas. Together, youâll help us reach an even larger and more diverse audience, from the c-suite on down, and on the global scale.
Who you are
Qualifications:
Bachelors or masters degree in a content-related field (journalism, English, marketing, writing)
4-5 years (minimum) of experience in B2B content marketing or related fields/competencies
Experience writing content about IT - multi-use case B2B platforms and/or SaaS (Ex. Mambu, Adyen, Salesforce, Microsoft, Pega, Appian, Atlassian, Outsystems, Mendix, Servicenow, etc)
Experience in banking/financial services/fintech is a plus, but not required
Experience optimizing content for SEO is a plus, but not required
Native or native-level English (C2), particularly in the areas of speaking, writing, and presentation
Competencies/skills
Content creation/strategy â This is your bread and butter, so to speak, as youâll spend the majority of your time crafting impactful content, but also creating a strategy for getting it to our target audience. That means youâll need to be not only a top-notch storyteller, but also a cunning strategist with a solid understanding of the buyerâs journey, SEO optimization, and general content marketing principles.
Tech/software background â Unfortunately, being a solid writer isnât enough for this position, as weâre looking for someone who can also âtalk the talkâ of a complex banking platform with minimal learning curve. Donât worry, you donât have to be a Product Marketer or an Engineer, by any extent, but this position also isnât targeted to the generalist copywriter, either. Our value props and products are complex and quite techy, so we need someone who can understand and write about technical concepts.
Self-motivation â Our Global GTM team is highly collaborative, but weâre also expected to operate independently, bringing our unique strengths to the table with minimal hand-holding. So youâll need to be able to take guidance, advice, and instruction, then deliver value without someone looking over your shoulder. But donât worry, youâre not alone. Youâll be working with a Senior Content Marketing Specialist who will help you learn the ropes and can provide ongoing guidance and assistance.
Project management â Another thing about our team: we donât have a project manager because each and every one of us takes responsibility for our own work. In this role, youâll need to drive your own progress and meet deadlines, plus expert-level communication for when things donât go according to plan. Again, donât worry â youâll have the full support of our manager and the whole team, but weâre looking for someone who doesnât need an âassistantâ to help with productivity.
People person â Believe it or not, weâre not all business. We also want to work with someone whoâs energetic, collaborative, and fun. We frequently meet outside of work, and we hope youâll want to do the same, once you get to know us đ
