As an early member of the team, you will create relevant, impactful content that helps small businesses and the brokers that support them be the best version of themselves. You will work closely with the business development, insurance, data and products teams to deliver industry leading content for the different stakeholders involved in the purchase and sale of our novel insurance products and services.
YOU WILL
- Publish emails, website content, webinars, newsletters, social media content, that will drive top of funnel growth (broker appointments and insurance applications).
- Support our business development with thought leadership content that tells the story of Counterpart to the right audience through the right medium.
- Discover customer insights and industry trends that lead thought-leadership initiatives which translate to effective marketing efforts. Develop content to bring brand strategy and value proposition to market with most relevant touch points.
- Build and own the content production process, including strategy development, ideation, drafting, editing, proofing and publishing content with other content writers and designers.
- Support with Counterpart’s brand voice, tone, editorial style and content guidelines for our multi-channel content strategy.
- Create and maintain editorial calendars, content inventory, metadata frameworks and content migration plans relevant for Counterpart’s target audiences.
- Collaborate with digital strategists, data analysts, comms, SEO and paid media teams to identify clear goals with measurable results that are reported on across the organization.
- Share recommendations on how we can optimize our content by analyzing and reporting on key performance metrics, including organic traffic, engagement, click-through rates, and conversion.
YOU HAVE
- 5+ years of B2B or B2C content marketing experience leading and managing content strategy, content structures, and content development.
- 2+ years of experience in insurance or fintech, ideally related to small business insurance (bonus points for exposure to management and professional liability insurance)
- Firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills are preferred.
- SaaS and or product-led growth industry experience strongly desired.
- Experience in digital content creation and developing content strategy.
- Multi-channel marketing experience with proficiency in analytics and engagement metrics
- Strong analytical skills, and eagerness to measure, report, and optimize quantifiable impact.
- Comfortable operating in a remote environment.

A small business owner himself, Emad knows the inefficiencies that plague the small business economy first hand and has dedicated his career to building products and businesses to help address them.
- Ryan Capra, Head of Insured Services: Before joining Counterpart, Ryan spent most of his professional career building and scaling customer success teams and operations. Ryan is passionate about understanding the voice of the customer and delivering positive and valuable customer experiences. He spends his free time physically, mentally and emotionally exercising and planning his next travel adventure.
- Mike Levins, Head of Insurance: Mike previously was the Head of Broker Relations and US MGA Operations at Hiscox. Mike oversaw the Midwest region with ~20 underwriters offering 13 different product lines, the primary lines being management liability, professional liability, and cyber/technology. His extensive insurance career has afforded Mike strong relationships across hundreds of retail and wholesale brokers. Mike received his BS from Marquette University and MBA from Benedictine University.
- Eric Marler, Head of Claims: Eric Marler is a licensed attorney who began his career in private practice representing carriers in complex coverage matters before transitioning in-house. Eric previously led the management liability claims teams at Hanover and Great American.
- Claudette Kellner, Insurance Product Lead: Claudette joined Counterpart in July 2022 as Insurance Product Lead where she will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to expand Counterpart’s underwriting guidelines and portfolio management strategies for new and existing coverage. She has over 25 years of experience in the specialty insurance market previously holding various underwriting, product leadership and management positions with leading global insurers.
