As a Content Marketing Manager, you’ll have creative latitude to build the content frameworks for various vertical segments. What you’ll do:

As a Content Marketing Manager, you’ll conduct, research, analyze data and create thought leadership, reports, ebooks and various content assets to support Geotab’s Segment Marketing Campaigns and account-based marketing (ABM).

To be successful in this role you will be adept at developing content strategies and messaging playbooks aligned to ideal customer profiles (ICP) and buyer personas that have resulted in comprehensive engagement throughout the sales funnel (TOFU, MOFU, BOFU content). In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate a clear ability to develop innovative fractional content that works across marketing channels and drives business goals: land, expand, retain. The successful candidate will also have exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills and be accustomed to collaborating with technical subject matter experts in an agile and fast-paced work environment.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop the annual content marketing strategy to attract, engage, and retain an ICP audience by creating content that: establishes expertise, promotes brand awareness and differentiation, keeps Geotab top of mind when it's time to buy.
  • Maintain your industry knowledge and insights across the market and competitive landscape, analyze competitors' content, messaging, and distribution tactics.
  • Know the target audience for each piece of content - what persona writing for, what are their pain points, what are they trying to achieve, why would they select Geotab, why wouldn't they select Geotab, etc.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop storytelling/ROI based content and translate technical product language into compelling and consumable value, features, benefits and outcomes. 
  • Work with Segment Marketing Managers and business partners to develop content marketing plans for horizontal and vertical market penetration defining the messaging framework aligned to customer buying journey.
  • Understand SEO and incorporate it into content creation.
  • Against KPAs, continuously monitor and analyze metrics associated with published content (e.g engagement, downloads, conversion influence, subscribers, etc.) to inform future marketing plans and diversity of content based on what's working and what isn't.
  • Create and refine marketing content for a variety of customer-focused assets including PPC landing pages, ads, web pages, blog posts, reports, ebooks, emails and newsletters, social media campaigns, brochures, infographics, presentations, webinars, events, video, and more.
  • Lead the development of case studies that effectively communicate real-life outcomes and the benefits that customers can expect and experience from Geotab solutions.
  • Work with functional leads to determine content gaps and recommend topic ideas based on key business and user insights and support the content lifecycle management (audits/updates/retire).

What you’ll bring to this role:

  • 5-8 years of experience in content marketing, digital copywriting or relevant role. 
  • Experience in the connected transportation industry and telematics — vehicle and asset tracking — solutions, working in B2B IT or software industry is an asset.
  • Previous experience in Electric Vehicle/Sustainable Fleet Solutions primarily or Transportation and Logistics, Field Services, Speciality, Public Sector, ITS aggregate interconnected insights or comparable industry. 
  • Portfolio of written samples of work: eg. thought leadership, data based reports, web pages, digital ads, digital interactive tools, SEO content, video scripts, etc.
  • Proven content strategy experience and demonstrable knowledge of best practices for conversion copywriting, writing for traditional and digital marketing e.g. SEO, social media and market research methods.
  • Data driven mindset with ability to garner insights from data analysis and translate into creative writing applied to business/customer context.
  • Innovative and resourceful with the interest and desire to learn and adopt new marketing strategies, tactics and tools.
  • Technical competence using workflow tools (WRIKE, Jira), software programs, AI tools e.g. Google (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Chat GPT, Duet AI in Google Cloud.
  • Well versed in analytics tools, content performance measurement and strategic decision making based on results.
  • Experience working with SEO keyword tools such as Moz or Ahrefs is an asset.
