NOCD is the #1 telehealth provider for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). OCD is one of the most severe, prevalent, and misunderstood mental health conditions. NOCD creates access to online therapy for people with OCD through our telehealth platform. In the NOCD app, members can quickly access and schedule live, face-to-face video therapy sessions with our national network of licensed therapists that specialize in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) - considered the "gold standard" in OCD treatment.

About the Role

The Content Marketing Writer will join the marketing team at NOCD during an exciting period of growth. This person will report directly to the Senior Director of Lifecycle Marketing to manage and create content that is delivered at various touchpoints during a member’s therapy journey. This team member will influence member activation and retention with NOCD and directly impact the number of members getting better each month. Ultimately, the Content Marketing Writer will deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to NOCD’s audiences, attract members, convert members, and boost brand awareness.

The ideal candidate for this role will have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, strong collaboration capabilities, and a deep passion for mental health and wellness. As our business continues to grow quickly, this team member should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Influence and execute on content marketing strategy that is deployed to thousands of members during their therapy journey each month
  • Serve as main copywriting lead, producing written content to be posted across NOCD’s digital properties (blog, social channels, website, video, etc.)
  • Produce well-researched original content (including combining in-house expert resources, online sources, interviews, studies, and first-person stories where appropriate)
  • Coordinate, manage, edit, proofread and publish content from thought leaders, guest authors, partners, and members
  • Collaborate closely with Social, Search, and Community Activation leads to understand emerging topics within the OCD community, and implement key topics into our content distribution plan
  • Help identify members’ needs and gaps in our content to recommend new topics
  • Develop and own day-to-day management of the content marketing calendar that includes messages published in market on a daily basis across online and offline platforms
  • Establish and implement the company’s first official set of content guidelines to ensure content contributors across the organization maintain consistent voice and tone

Who You Are

  • 2 - 4 years of professional experience with skills in writing, copyediting, storytelling, and a deep understanding of content production requirements across multiple formats
  • Basic experience with email marketing tools such as MailChimp, Braze, Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot, or similar
  • Basic experience with WordPress
  • Detail-oriented with extensive time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Strong communicator with ability to synthesize complex ideas into compelling and easy to understand stories 
  • Clear understanding of brand building/positioning, messaging, tone, and voice
  • Team player who is a self-starter, motivated, collaborative and driven to help us on our mission to help as many people as possible
