Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Site Continuous Improvement Lead to join our team on a 6 month fixed term contract.
This role is critical to driving operational excellence and ensuring that our site operations are continuously improving in efficiency, quality, and productivity. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, implement, and sustain continuous improvement initiatives that support our strategic objectives.
This role will be instrumental in the deployment and validation of improvement projects across the organisation in line with the manufacturing strategy.
Responsibilities:
Process Optimisation
Support site improvement tracking and projects (Valeo Improvement Programme VIP)
Supporting high impact improvement projects.
Data analyses of current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Deployment of effective and sustainable solutions.
Continuous Improvement Strategies:
Support the deployment of the Valeo Improvement Programme (VIP) using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance overall manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Teamwork:
Work with production, engineering, quality and finance teams to gather insights and input for process improvement opportunities.
Support Kaizen events to encourage teamwork, generate improvement ideas and deliver sustainable change.
Data-Driven Decision-Making:
Collect, analyse, and interpret data to make informed decisions regarding process improvements.
Effectively use data to shape thinking and prioritise problem solving.
Support management control and reporting tiered meetings and infrastructures.
key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure the success of improvement initiatives.
Training and Development:
Provide training and support to employees at all levels on Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting employee involvement and engagement.
Change Management:
Effectively communicate proposed changes and improvements to site teams
Manage resistance to change and ensure a smooth transition to new and improved processes.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain documentation of process improvements, changes, and their impact.
Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators, project status, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment – Green / Yellow belt six sigma preferable
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Good mechanical systems interpretation and understanding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can demonstrate facilitation and coaching skills
- Management experience
- FMCG background within Food Manufacturing.
- Excel capability

Fixed Term contract: 6 month
Salary: £39,028.08 per annum
