The Department of Healthcare and Family Services is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking professional to provide expert-level technical leadership across major initiatives within the Illinois Medicaid Enterprise System. As a Senior Technical Architect, you will drive innovation and modernization efforts for key projects, including the Illinois Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT), the Electronic Data Warehouse (EDW), and the Health and Human Services Innovation Incubator. Essential Functions • Serve as the lead technical architect for IMPACT and the EDW • Responsible for day-to-day technical oversight of the IMPACT project and product solutions • Manage the design and development of master data management solutions • Provide strategic guidance on the modernization of the EDW, including cloud migration strategy Minimum Qualifications • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field or equivalent work experience • Requires four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a health or human services organization Preferred Qualifications • Prefers a minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible project management experience particularly information technology projects • Demonstrated experience delivering working solutions that meet real user needs • Prefers a thorough knowledge of hardware and software, languages, and procedures to provide assigned technical and analytical services • Prefers a comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server. technology, with knowledge of API-first design and modern architectural patterns • Prefers an expert level database administration skills and experience with data governance in regulated environments • Prefers software development skills and experience, with understanding of accessible design principles • Prefers knowledge of Business Intelligence tools • Prefers working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project • Prefers a keen analytical and problem-solving skills beyond technical solutions • Prefers a strong verbal and written communication and presentation abilities, particularly translating complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders • Prefers experience mentoring teams and creating collaborative environments Conditions of Employment • Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history • Requires ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop • Ability to work normal working hours • The conditions of employment listed here are incorporated and related to any of the job duties as listed in the job description Work Hours:Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Work Location:401 S Clinton St, Chicago, Illinois, 60607 Email:[email protected] Posting Group:Leadership & Management The main form of communication will be through email.
