Job Overview
Position open for a Controller who is ready to hit the ground running to bring all accounting matters in house and implement systems for ongoing management. This position will be an extension of ownership to make informed decisions for the growth and management of the companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and managing reports such as pro-formas, monthly reconciliations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices, as well as, the ability to work collaboratively. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of our companies and providing proactive insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
β’ Work directly with owner on multiple high-level needs such as budgeting, forecasting, investments and projecting returns
β’ Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies and improve financial performance
β’ Execute account analysis to maintain the integrity of financial data
β’ Prepare and maintain accurate pro-formas, statements, reports and records for multiple companies
β’ Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes
β’ Work with CPA on completion and compliance of tax matters
β’ Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements
β’ Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances in financial performance
β’ Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
β’ Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and insights
β’ Manage general ledger and bank statement reconciliation, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately
β’ Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices
β’ Utilize double entry bookkeeping methods to maintain accurate records
β’ Work with office team to ensure efficient systems and practices
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in accounting or finance preferred
β’ 10 years of accounting experience
β’ Proficient in key accounting software
β’ Strong understanding of current accounting principles and financial regulations
β’ Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, accuracy and problem solving skills
β’ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
β’ Perform in a fast paced environment and meet necessary deadlines
β’ HUD experience is a plus

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
