As we continue to expand, we are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Controller to join our finance team. This is a high-impact role supporting multi-entity operations, financial reporting, compliance, and cross-function business activities.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for leading and executing all accounting and reporting functions across domestic and international entities. This fully on-site role is ideal for a finance professional who excels in managing complex financial operations, delivering accurate reporting, and working across departments. You’ll play a critical role in the monthly close process, financial analysis, consolidation, audit support, and operational finance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
• Prepare the monthly consolidated financial statements and internal management reports
• Analyze results and variances; identify unusual items in collaboration with the CFO
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with regulatory standards
Accounting, Month-End Close, ERP, and Analyses
• Lead the month-end close process across multiple entities and systems
• Maintain and reconcile key general ledger accounts, including cash, AR, inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany accounts
• Prepare and review journal entries for payroll, leases, allocations and other routine and non-routine items
• Support ERP-related troubleshooting, maintenance, and data integrity
Audit, Controls, and Compliance
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and regulatory compliance reviews
• Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Identify and correct out-of-period adjustments and support technical accounting matters
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy
Payroll, HR & Benefits Administration
• Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration in partnership with third-party providers
• Support employee lifecycle transitions including onboarding, compensation updates, and benefit enrollments
• Assist with annual 401(k) compliance and related reporting
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a public company of complex multi-entity environment
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ERP/accounting systems
• Strong Excel skills and experience with complex reconciliations
• Ability to work on-site daily in the San Francisco Bay Area
• Detailed-oriented, communicative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
