Our Location: Our Seattle Fulfillment Center (SFC) is located in the heart of the Ikea Commercial District where we have 200,000 square feet of state of the art production and inventory. Job Vision Statement As the Controller you are responsible for advancing our Strategy. As a Leader of a supporting department, all of the Company’s Objectives should be advanced by your work and your organization’s work each quarter and each year. ControllerProcess Ownership and Accountability You will define, document, and continuously improve our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Maintenance, Monthly Financial Closing, Cash Management, Annual Budgeting and Monthly Forecasting, Tax Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, Financial Audit Processes, and other processes defined to improve the output of your team. Process Ownership: • Accounts Payable • Commissions Processing • Billing and Credit Card Processing • Payments Received Processing • General Ledger Maintenance, Reconciliations and Monthly Closing • Cash Forecasting and Management • Annual Budgeting and Monthly Forecasting • Tax Compliance • Regulatory Compliance • Financial Audits • Accounting Policies Development and Execution • Annual Risk Management Assessment and Insurance Policy Procurement • Staff Performance Improvement Management To the extent Cutter & Buck is providing accounting and finance support for other North American affiliates, this role also owns the processes related to that support work such as those listed above. General Processes for all Directors Financial: • Annual Budgeting Process • Monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) and Forecasting Process High Output Management: • Quarterly Objective and Key Results Development and Review Process, • Process Definition, Documentation, and Improvement Process • Within your department, or across departments, time-bound projects will be required to achieve some Objectives. * Job Requirements for Controller* • Degree in Accounting required • CPA certification achieved (non-practicing ok) • 8+ Years of Applicable Work Experience • 5+ Years of Applicable Management Experience • Strong knowledge of auditing procedures, internal control documenting and work paper preparation techniques. • Full understanding of core Accounting functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash Management, Financial Statement preparation, budget and forecast preparation. • Strong knowledge of Corporate Income Tax matters. • Strong knowledge of other tax matters (sales, property, WA B&O, etc.). • Experience with and Knowledge of Corporate level risk management. • Broad range of knowledge of GAAP and experience in the application of GAAP. • SAP and/or Infor M3 ERP experience a plus. • Experience with an ERP system replacement project a plus. • Experience with and comfort with technology, including but not limited to Microsoft Office/365 applications, SAP Concur, cloud based systems and other regularly used software. • Excellent MS Excel skills. • Effective management of a large group of varying skill and experience levels required. • Continuous Learning: Cutter & Buck Exec Reading List Completed within First 180 Days of Employment Mindset and orientation: • Adoption of Cutter & Buck’s Business Principles, Mission and Values. • Maintaining a customer-first position. • Ability to organize, prioritize, multitask, and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic, fast paced environment. • Ability to lead with service and committment.
