About the Opportunity A well-established wholesale company based inDowntown Los Angelesis seeking an experiencedControllerto oversee its finance and accounting operations. This role offers the chance to strengthen financial processes, support business growth, and work closely with senior leadership in a dynamic environment. What You’ll Do • Lead and manage daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy across general ledger, payables, receivables, and asset management • Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets • Coordinate external audits and manage compliance-related filings • Analyze financial performance, prepare budgets and forecasts, and provide insights to guide executive decisions • Oversee payroll functions and ensure regulatory compliance • Partner with HR on compensation and benefits planning from a financial perspective • Manage banking relationships, cash flow, and financing activities • · Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the finance function • Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations for domestic and international operations • Provide financial modeling and analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives • Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering a culture of accountability and growth • Serve as the primary finance contact for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies What You Bring • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within wholesale, retail, or manufacturing environments • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred • Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards • Proven track record managing budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to process improvements • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Navision a plus • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and support operational and strategic priorities Why Join Us • · Strategic leadership role with high visibility and impact • Collaborative team culture with opportunities for professional development • Competitive compensation and benefits package Pay Range: Up to $$175k DOE, plus bonus eligible, and benefits.
