High growth real estate development company is seeking motivated and creative team members to carry out our expansion plans. We presently are working on the development of three nursing homes in Las Vegas and a luxury high rise in Los Angeles. As we build out our our intiail projects, this is a unique time to join a fast paced well positioned company just before our projects come to fruition over the next 3 years.
Job Description:
As Controller you will be entrusted with strategic oversight and accounting for all our projects in development and normal operations costs. You will collaborate with senior leadership to drive financial decision-making, develop effective internal controls, and ensure timely, accurate financial statements that comply with all regulatory requirements. Your ability to manage, mentor, and empower a team of 2-3 accounting professionals will be critical in achieving financial accuracy and project development success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports relating to each project.
• Produced sutomer reports unique to development and ownership requests.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring adherence to internal processes and standards.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and improve internal controls.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets and forecasts; provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and work with external auditors to prepare and file tax returns.
• Provide actionable financial insights to senior management to guide business strategy and project development success.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure development funding and uses.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Required experience in skilled nursing.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks Desktop/Enterprise).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and 365 Skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 starting
