What You'll Do • Lead and oversee daily accounting operations, including GL, A/P, A/R, payroll, and reconciliations • Direct preparation of financial statements, regulatory reports, and board-level financial data • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and credit union regulations • Support internal and external audits and exams • Guide the department with clear leadership and coaching • Collaborate with executive leadership on capital planning and strategic initiatives • Continuously improve financial systems and policies • Stay ahead of changes in accounting standards and industry regulationsWhat You Bring • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred) • CPA preferred • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role • Deep knowledge of GAAP, compliance, and financial reporting • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills • Proven ability to implement internal controls and lead high-performing teams • A high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detailLeadership Expectations As a department leader, you will supervise and support the Accounting team—driving performance, managing team development, and ensuring alignment with ATFCU's mission and values.
