Gateway Printing and Office Supply is seeking an experiencedControllerto lead all aspects of financial and accounting operations. Gateway Printing and Office Supply is a subsidiary of The ODP Corporation and operates as part of ODP Business Solutions, delivering comprehensive office products and services to business clients.
This key leadership position is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, maintaining effective internal controls, and delivering financial insights to support organizational objectives. The Controller will manage a team of accounting professionals and work collaboratively across departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Supervise and coordinate daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in line with accounting standards.
β’ Prepare, review, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as management reports and presentations, to support business needs and inform stakeholders.
β’ Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met, accounts are reconciled, and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
β’ Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitor actual performance, and provide analysis of variances to support effective financial planning.
β’ Design, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; support audit activities by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
β’ Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
β’ Provide financial analysis and insights to support key business decisions and partner with senior leadership to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
β’ Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems and tools to improve reporting accuracy and streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required
β’ Active CPA required; MBA preferred
β’ Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including leadership roles
β’ Experience with publicly traded companies and familiarity with SEC reporting requirements is a plus
β’ Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
β’ Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
β’ Proficiency with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
β’ Outstanding leadership and communication abilities
β’ Ability to collaborate across departments and effectively manage multiple priorities
Work Environment
This is an office-based role with minimal travel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
