About the Role
We’re seeking aControllerwho thrives in a role that balanceshands-on executionwithstrategic oversight. You’ll oversee accounting, payroll, and job costing while also shaping HR, compliance, and contract administration.

What You’ll Do
Finance & Accounting
• Own all accounting functions: A/R, A/P, general ledger, and month-end close.
• Managejob cost accounting, billing, retention, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance withprevailing wage and certified payroll.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Work with banks, bonding agents, and insurance partners.
HR & People
• Manage payroll and benefits for field and office staff.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and compliance.
• Partner with leadership on employee development and retention.
• Foster a positive, people-first culture that aligns with our values.
Contracts & Administration
• Review, track, and negotiate contracts with clients, subs, and vendors.
• Oversee risk management, licensing, and insurance renewals.
• Support company-wide systems and policies that keep us efficient and compliant.
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years’ experiencein construction accounting or a controller role.
• Deep knowledge ofjob costing, prevailing wage, and certified payroll.
• Strong understanding of HR compliance and employee relations.
• Comfortable with contract administration and negotiation.
• Skilled in QuickBooks, Sage, or other construction ERP/accounting platforms.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and collaborative by nature.
