The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all staff and visitors. This role is crucial in supporting the overall operations of our establishment, particularly in areas related to food service and culinary activities. Duties • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas within the facility. • Ensure that kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and organized, adhering to health and safety standards. • Assist in the maintenance of equipment used in food preparation and service areas. • Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness during food handling and preparation processes. • Support menu planning activities by ensuring that all culinary spaces are ready for use. • Maintain supplies inventory for cleaning materials and notify management when reordering is necessary. Requirements • Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role is preferred but not mandatory. • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper handling techniques, and safety practices. • Familiarity with food industry standards, particularly in relation to kitchen sanitation and food handling. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on maintaining high cleanliness standards. • Good communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff and management. • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the shift.
