Phipps Conservatory Botanical Gardens Information:

A green oasis in the middle of Pittsburgh's vibrant Oakland neighborhood, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens has provided a world-class garden experience to its visitors since 1893. Explore the beauty and wonders of nature at Phipps, encompassing 15 acres including a 14-room glasshouse and 23 distinct gardens. Experience industry-leading sustainable architecture and green practices, stunning seasonal flower shows, exclusive commissioned exhibits, renowned orchid and bonsai collections and more.

Job Description: As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards of quality, taste, presentation, and hygiene. You will work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

• Proven experience as a cook or line cook in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and adherence to food safety standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) for extended periods.
• Stamina to work long shifts and maintain focus during busy periods.
