CORP H&W/PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop and execute strategies for prescription drug purchasing to support retail pharmacy operations and Peyton facilities, ensuring the products are procured at an aggressive and competitive cost. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Director of Pharmacy Procurement in the management of the overall pharmacy procurement process including writing purchase orders and coordinating the inbound deliveries and daily priorities for Peyton warehouse facilities
• Ability to independently travel to 1-2 Peyton warehouses annually
• Manage Price Protection process and claims generation, approximately $1million per period income
• Manage the Failure to Supply (FTS) invoicing and claim collection process, approximately $500,000 per period income
• Manage usage requests from Econdisc team
• Set up and add new items and new vendors to the Peyton s purchasing system
• Develop and enhance relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers both brand and generic
• Maintain and distribute Health & Wellness Procurement weekly, period, quarterly and annual reports
• Handle Recalls including follow up with distribution centers
• Maintain and update the Procurement BCP (Business Continuity Plan)
• Manage the certificates of insurance, DEA & State licenses for all direct pharmacy vendors
• Maintain and distribute Peyton DEA and State Licenses to all direct pharmacy vendors upon renewal

Minimum

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in procurement functions
• Experience in Retail Pharmacy
• Familiarity with or ability to learn and utilize Peyton purchasing systems and Business Objects
• Ability to work and travel independently, must plan and organize work and follow through to completion in an accurate and efficient manner
• Ability to recognize and set priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
