About the role
We are looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager to help scale and improve our accounting operations. In this role, you'll be hands-on in managing key accounting processes, supporting financial close, and driving efficiency through automation and continuous improvement.
You'll own core accounting responsibilities, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and work cross-functionally to simplify financial processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and loves finding smarter ways to work.
What you'll do

• Take ownership of key accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and global standards.
• Strengthen internal controls and SOX compliance, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.
• Introduce automation, AI, and new technology to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Drive process improvements to make financial operations faster, smoother, and more scalable
• Partner with teams across Canva to simplify financial processes, provide insights that drive better decision-making and elevate financial understanding across the company.
• Support audits and regulatory requirements, working closely with external auditors and internal teams.

What we're looking for
We're after a strategic, hands-on accounting manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves building scalable financial processes. You're a problem solver who embraces change, enjoys working cross-functionally, and is passionate about making complex things simple.

• Experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance-ideally in a high-growth or public company.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
• A problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys optimizing processes.
• Excellent communication skills-you can simplify complex financial concepts for non-financial teams.
• A passion for automation, technology, and improving workflows.
• Experience working with ERP systems (bonus points for NetSuite!).

At Canva we value fairness, and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation whilst ensuring internal equity within the team in each region. We make hiring decisions based on your skills, experience and our overall assessment of what we observed and learnt in the hiring process. The target salary range for this position is $134,000 - $172,000. When calculating offers, we make salary decisions based on market data and candidates' skills and experience.
